This week, we take a moment to thank professional truck drivers for their important work. The US Department of Transportation says almost 7.4 million people drive trucks for their jobs, transporting a wide range of goods for many industries. Between these millions of trucks and their drivers, the transportation industry carries almost 70% of all freight moved in America. Truck drivers make sure that freight gets to its destination on time, every time.

Truck drivers are on the front lines of American commerce. Their efforts help keep our economy running by delivering food and medical supplies, transporting coal or other raw materials from the mine to plants and factories, and even delivering mail to your home. Although many truck drivers might not consider themselves part of the rich history of the nation's highway system, trucking is an essential component of why we can celebrate this National Trucking Appreciation Week.

ClearSky is proud to partner and supporting two of the top industry leaders, Averitt Express based in Cookeville, TN and Dot Trucking based in Mt. Sterling, IL.  Please join ClearSky in thanking these unsung heroes of our economy, delivering almost all the resources that make our lives possible.
